BOYS BOYS BOYS!

Well my casual friends. Summertime has passed once again. Time to put down your Pina Coladas and Daiquiris and pick yourself up a nice bottle of Cocchi Americano to get yourself through the long winter ahead. But before we say farewell to summer 'til next year, let's have one more dance and remember summertime love. Check out this great live performance of Sabrina's CLASSIC "Boys Boys Boys!" AMERICAN EXPRESSION, I sure wish I could have been that keyboardist. √ out his moves!

Keep it breezy,

I am the Captain

People ask me all the time, "Giancarlo! What do you do all of the time besides this music?" There's not that much really! I'm a one sided sort of guy. Sure I enjoy the wealth of my family. I mean, who doesn't enjoy the wealth of their families, am I right? I cruise on my yacht and feel the pacific breeze through my long, flowing, and luxurious hair. People tell me, "HEY! Giancarlo! What is up with that hat?" I tell them like I tell everyone, "I am the captain....and do not you forget it!" Now please excuse me. I am off to enjoy the rest of this Grappa!

Stay Smooth, Stay Casual....

Giancarlo's Top 5 Reasons Why He Hates "You Americans"

1. Your music is unfashionable.
2. Your clothing is drab and lifeless.
3. Your food is like licking ashvault.
4. Your cappuccino tastes like brown urine.
5. Your women are dull and unattractive. Except for this Angelina Jolie. We had a fling back in Paris, but ultimately, she was too pedestrian for me.

I don't have anymore time to waste on thinking about Americans and American things. I must now hop on my motorbike and drive around LA shouting "VIVA ITALY!"

the hollywood bowl at dusk...

Last night, Giancarlo took me to the Hollywood Bowl to see Joni's Jazz. It was a tribute to Joni Mitchell played and sung by Herbie Hancock, Chaka Khan, Aimee Mann, and others. It was a wonderful concert. Both Giancarlo and I love Joni Mitchell. We are really inspired to get back in the studio now!

Giancarlo brought some prosciutto that he'd had shipped from home (Giancarlo always needs a little bit of Italy!) and he kept trying to push bits of it into my mouth with his hands. No, thank you, I said. I can feed myself perfectly well!

After the concert, we got back on his motorbike and rode to my house through the streets of Los Angeles. Giancarlo wears a lot of cologne, so I imagined we were leaving a trail of his scent through the streets. When he dropped me off, Giancarlo held my face in his hands for a long time and stared into my eyes as though he was trying to find something. I don't know why. What was he looking at? I laughed at him. Giancarlo is so strange sometimes!

Recording

We had a recording session at Casual Young Italians studios last night. It went well, and we can't wait to share with you all! After our session we strolled by the beach of Santa Monica. For a moment, the moonlight lit up Anastasia's face and the back of my hand grazed the back of hers. It was perfect. We then hopped on my motor bike and cruised down the boulevards singing songs until the owls fell asleep.

Summertime dreams...

When Giancarlo and I met in the bathroom on the train, I was drinking a chilled Riesling. He laughed at my drink ("what an American drink," he said, looking over the tops of his designer sunglasses) so I threw it at him, like a she-wolf would throw her drink if she had hands.
It was my fourth glass, which made me bold.
After that, we made music together.

Drinks?

Days like today take me back to Cafe Casoni in Florence. Watching the beautiful women walk by, enjoying a Negroni cocktail. 30ml Gin, 30ml Campari and of course 30ml Italian Vermouth. Only a fool would shake this drink. It must be stirred.

Where's Anastasia today, I wonder?
